Your Book

I know that over the years, as I have bought a new computer or a new version of software, I have often bought a book to help me learn more about it. As with most of us, I learn more by doing (and trying the software through trial and error), and end up maybe reading 12 pages of the 300-page book I bought.

After we meet and I see what your needs are, I will create your book which has just the 12 pages that you need to make your Mac act the way you want it to. This binder will hold additional chapters that we cover in the future as well!

2010 Rates

Hourly
For less rigidly defined work scopes - what I kindly refer to as "laundry list" jobs, where there is a list of things that need to be learned, addressed, installed, tweaked, fixed and/or looked at - I recommend the hourly-rate option. Just jot down on a piece of paper: the things you want to do but can't; the things you don't know how to stop; those things that your son, daughter or neighbor says are easy; that message you don't understand and any other 'unknowns' about your Mac. When you get a page full of notes, call me, and we will cross off those concerns one-by-one as you learn your way around!

Standard rate for on-site service and support is $118 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.

Telephone support is billed in 15-minute increments at a rate of $75 per hour.

Beginning September 1, 2009, Text messaging assistance is available with pre-paid iTunes Gift Cards. Please contact me for details.

Pre-Paid Discounted Rates
For a discount on the standard hourly fee, you may pre-pay your hours in bulk. Hours may be purchased in as few as 10 at-a-time to obtain a discount. Hours are good for one year from date of purchase.

Available discount levels:
• 10 hours @ $113/hour, $1130.00 (save $50!)
• 20 hours @ $108/hour, $2160.00 (save $200!)
• 30 hours @ $103/hour, $3090.00 (save $450!)
• 31 or more hours - call for quote.


Discounted Hourly Terms & Conditions: Hours must be paid for in advance and are good for one year from the date of purchase. Two-hour minimum per visit for hourly packages. Phone support (decremented in 15-minute intervals) applied towards available time.

Flat-Fee Services
If you have a very specific task I recommend the flat-fee price list, which helps keep costs predictable due to pre-determined time estimates
